The 4 Nations Face-Off tournament was a hockey competition held from February 12 to February 20, 2025.
4 Nations Face-Off
The tournament featured four teams—Canada, the USA, Sweden, and Finland—and was played at TD Garden in Boston and the Bell Centre in Montreal.
Before the 4 Nations, no international tournament had included NHL players since the 2014 Olympics. All four teams had star-studded rosters.
For example, Canada’s lineup featured Sidney Crosby, Nathan MacKinnon, Connor Bedard, and Cale Makar. The USA had Auston Matthews, Matthew Tkachuk, Brady Tkachuk, and Jack Eichel. Sweden’s roster included Victor Hedman, Elias Pettersson, William Nylander, and Rasmus Dahlin.
The final was played between Canada and the USA at TD Garden. Canada won the game 3–2 after an overtime goal by Connor McDavid.
