Drake Batherson’s honest words about Sidney Crosby’s salary
He will out-earn his idol
The Ottawa Senators are a professional hockey team founded in 1992. They play their home games at the Canadian Tire Centre and compete in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference in the NHL. They have yet to win a Stanley Cup.
The original Ottawa Senators were founded in 1883 and won eleven Stanley Cups, four of them after the NHL formed in 1917. That club folded in 1934. In December 1990, the NHL awarded a new franchise to Ottawa, which entered the league ahead of the 1992-93 season. The modern Senators reached the playoffs in 2026 and traded captain Brady Tkachuk to Florida that June.
