Ottawa Senators

The Ottawa Senators are a professional hockey team founded in 1992. They play their home games at the Canadian Tire Centre and compete in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference in the NHL. They have yet to win a Stanley Cup.

Senators History

The original Ottawa Senators were founded in 1883 and won eleven Stanley Cup championships while playing in the NHL from 1917 to 1934. In December 1990, the NHL awarded a new franchise to Ottawa, which entered the league ahead of the 1992-93 season. The modern Senators won the Presidents’ Trophy in 2003 and reached the Stanley Cup Final in 2007, where they lost to the Anaheim Ducks in five games.
