Michael McCarron is 6-foot-6 and 231 pounds, which means that when he arrives at the glass, whatever is sitting on the other side of it tends to end up on the floor. That is what happened to one supporter’s beer during the Minnesota Wild‘s game in Seattle on Saturday.
Later in the night, McCarron came back. He pushed a $20 bill through a hole in the glass and handed it to the man whose drink he’d flattened.
No camera crew, no announcement, no acknowledgement from the club. Somebody in the crowd filmed it and the clip has been circulating since.
“Michael McCarron deserves a beer for that,” one fan wrote.
“Dudes will see this and say ‘hell yeah,'” said another, while a third kept it simple: “I love this game.”
Michael McCarron’s career highs, set last season:

How much does Michael McCarron earn?
There’s a neat coincidence in the amount he handed over. McCarron signed a six-year contract with Minnesota in June worth $20 million in total, carrying a cap hit of $3,333,333, after arriving from Nashville for a 2028 second-round pick the previous March.
He earned it in the postseason. Two goals, two assists, 27 hits and a team-leading 14 blocked shots across 11 playoff games, with 54.5 percent of his faceoffs won, as Minnesota reached the second round for the first time since 2016.
“He’s become an integral part of the team,” general manager Bill Guerin said at the time.

It’s been that sort of month for him. He was the teammate who helped Nico Sturm off the ice after a puck struck him in the head earlier in October, and the one who publicly criticized Jeremy Lauzon for picking a fight with a rookie playing his second NHL game.
McCarron logged 15:11 on Saturday and took a minor penalty. The Wild won 5-1.
