The Blue Jackets began playing in the NHL in 2000 as an expansion team, along with the Minnesota Wild. It took the Blue Jackets until the 2005-06 season to win 30 or more games in a season, and nine seasons to qualify for the playoffs. They have yet to win a Stanley Cup or a Conference or Division Championship.
