Seth Jarvis is still a young player, but he has already established himself in the NHL—not only as a highly talented athlete, but also as a genuine funny man. He proved the latter last night when he absolutely roasted Paul Bissonnette in the TV studio.
Since being drafted 13th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in 2020, Jarvis has gone from strength to strength. He is now a key player for the Hurricanes and currently their top goal scorer this season.

Scored the game-winning goal
On Monday, Jarvis scored the game-winning goal in the Hurricanes’ 2–1 victory over the Buffalo Sabres. The win marked Carolina’s third consecutive victory, putting them in first place in the Eastern Conference. But before the game, Jarvis spoke with the NHL on TNT crew and showed just how funny he can be. Paul Bissonnette, also known for his humor, got roasted badly by Jarvis.
Seth Jarvis roasted Paul Bissonnette
It all started when Bissonnette asked Jarvis a question and used the word advantageous—a word Jarvis was quick to react to. He then shut Bissonnette down, something that doesn’t happen very often.
“I have no idea what ‘advantageous’ means, and neither do you, so stop using that, please,” Jarvis joked.
To be fair to Bissonnette, advantageous is an actual word—but that didn’t stop the entire studio from bursting into laughter.
