You don’t want to get hit by Nathan MacKinnon.
The Dallas Stars took a commanding 3-1 lead in the Western Conference semifinal series against the Colorado Avalanche last night, winning 5-4 in Game 4.
The Stars scored two goals in 32 seconds in the third period and will advance to Game 5 on Monday night if they win.
“We know how hard that Game 6 was against Calgary. Obviously we didn’t get off to a good start at all,” Stars captain Jamie Benn said. “We’ll sit on this one for a couple of hours but move on and get right back at it tomorrow.”
Colorado Avalanche superstar Nathan MacKinnon added one point on the night, now leading the NHL in playoff scoring with 21 points in 12 games.
But last night, he was in the spotlight following a hit on Corey Perry.
MacKinnon put in a huge hit in the second period and received an interference penalty. But the Colorado star, along with experts, argued that the hit was clean. MacKinnon himself thought he had possession of the puck.

The Dallas Stars can close out the series with a win tomorrow.
