Marc-André Fleury sends off teammates with one last prank

Marc-André Fleury played one final game with his old teammates on the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday. But he didn’t leave quietly. Fleury, a well-known prankster, left his teammates with one last joke.

After last season, Marc-André Fleury decided it was time to call it quits on his 21-season NHL career. Over the course of his career, Fleury won one Olympic gold medal, three Stanley Cups with the Penguins, and one Vezina Trophy.

One of the best goaltenders ever

He played 1,052 regular-season games, racking up 575 wins and 76 shutouts. After his years in Pittsburgh between 2003 and 2017, Fleury also played for the Vegas Golden Knights, the Chicago Blackhawks, and the Minnesota Wild.
Fleury was always highly appreciated as a teammate, but he also made quite a name for himself as a top-tier prankster. He regularly pulled funny stunts on longtime teammates like Evgeni Malkin, Kris Letang, and Sidney Crosby. So when he signed a deal to play one last game as a Penguin, Fleury didn’t hesitate for a second.

He decided to leave Crosby, Letang, and Malkin with one final prank. On the Penguins’ X page (formerly Twitter), cameras followed Malkin and Crosby as they walked out to the parking lot—only to discover their cars had been tampered with by Fleury. He covered both cars with his jersey number, 29, and he striped them.
“Are you f*cking kidding me? Do you know how much this car costs?” Malkin joked when he saw his car.
Crosby, meanwhile, had just four words when he noticed the camera waiting for him: “How bad is it?”
