Brad Marchand and his Florida Panthers may not have won against the San Jose Sharks on Saturday, but that didn’t stop Marchand from chirping a few Sharks fans.
The Panthers currently sit in 14th place in the Eastern Conference—far from where they expected to be at this point in the season. Injuries to Aleksander Barkov and Matthew Tkachuk have slowed their progress.

Brad Marchand chirped Sharks fans
On a West Coast road trip, Florida has lost two games and won one, the lone victory coming against the Los Angeles Kings. On Saturday, they fell short against the Sharks, losing 3–1. Despite the Panthers’ struggles, Marchand has started the season strong, with ten goals and six assists through 14 games.
True to form, Marchand isn’t just scoring; he’s getting under opponents’ skin—and fans’ as well. In a video from Saturday’s game, he is seen skating toward a group of Sharks supporters in the stands, making a gesture and saying something that quickly turns their expressions from smiling to angry.
Fans love it
“Does he get under people’s skin? Absolutely. Is he an agitator? No question about it. Brad Marchand having a moment with some of the faithful here at SAP Center,” the announcers said on the broadcast. Fans loved it.
“Who wouldn’t want him on their team?!” one fan wrote.
“Brad Marchand is a wonderful international ambassador for the NHL. Brad Marchand is HOCKEY!” another added.
“This is so good,” a third fan wrote.
Next, the Panthers will face the Vegas Golden Knights.
