Ryan O’Reilly and the Nashville Predators are going through a rough patch. After last night’s 3–1 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers, O’Reilly was brutally honest about his own performance.
The Predators are enduring a very tough start to the season. They have just one win in their last seven games, and last night they dropped their third straight, 3–1 to the Flyers. O’Reilly scored Nashville’s only goal.

Far from satisfied
O’Reilly has six goals and four assists in 16 games so far, but he’s far from satisfied with his own play or the team’s overall performance. In a postgame interview, he expressed his frustration and didn’t hold back.
Ryan O’Reilly brutally honest
Reporters asked O’Reilly how he felt about his and the team’s performance, and he didn’t mince words — even going so far as to criticize his entire career. It’s a career that includes 834 points in 1,168 games and a Stanley Cup championship in 2019 with the St. Louis Blues.
“I can’t make a 6-foot pass to save my life. I’m playing pathetic like that. I don’t have an answer to that. I’ve had one good year in my career. I’m disappointed in myself. We’ve got to find a way to win games,” O’Reilly told reporters.
Next up, the Predators will host the Dallas Stars on Saturday afternoon.
