Connor Bedard is something special. He’s having a simply astonishing season, and he just continues breaking records and making fans’ jaws drop.
Bedard has already proved he can step up for his team when they need him the most. He was one of the most hyped-up players heading into this year’s World Junior Championship, and he exceeded every expectation.
Bedard name is all over Canada’s record book after scoring 36 points in 16 tournament games. During the tournament earlier this year, Bedard scored nine goals and recorded 14 helpers in seven games. He set a new Canadian record for points in a single tournament, and he did it at just age 17.
Since returning to the WHL, Bedard has just kept on scoring at an unbelievable pace, and in one of the biggest games of the season for his team, Bedard stepped up and had a simply outstanding game Wednesday.
The Regina Pats defeated the Medicine Hat Tigers 6-3, and Connor Bedard scored one goal and had five assists, making it a six-point night. It was Bedard’s second six-point effort this season, and it was also his fifth straight multi-point game. He has now scored 52 goals, and through 43 games, he’s on 106 points recorded.
Perhaps most crazy about Bedard’s season is this: Bedard now has as many six-point games as 0-point games (2).
Connor Bedard is the top-ranked prospect for the 2023 NHL Draft, and it’s no wonder when you see stats like this.
