Mike Babcock

Mike Babcock is a Canadian coach who was hired as head coach of the Edmonton Oilers in June 2026, his first NHL job since 2019. Babcock won the Stanley Cup with Detroit in 2008 and Olympic gold with Canada in 2010 and 2014, and is the only coach in the Triple Gold Club. Babcock resigned from Columbus in 2023 after two weeks without coaching a game; the NHL closed its review of that episode in June 2026.
