Brad Marchand and Seth Jarvis compliment Team USA

Team Canada will enter the hockey tournament on Thursday, facing Czechia. But their biggest rival remains Team USA. When Seth Jarvis and Brad Marchand were asked to say something nice about the Americans, they had everyone cracking up.

Brad Marchand is one of the more experienced players on Team Canada. The 37-year-old has played 1,146 NHL games and recorded 1,030 points over his 17-year career. Seth Jarvis, on the other hand, is an up-and-coming forward with 353 NHL games.

Brad Marchand and Seth Jarvis funny

Jarvis was called in after Brayden Point suffered an injury. Both players will make their Olympic debuts on Thursday when Team Canada takes on Czechia. Marchand and Jarvis are energetic on the ice—and certified funnymen off it. They proved that once again when they were asked to say something nice about Team USA.

Say three nice things about Team USA

In a video now going viral among hockey fans, Canadians in particular, Marchand, Jarvis, and goaltender Adin Hill are asked to say three nice things about Team USA. The two rival teams are not in the same group but are likely to meet in the knockout stage. Neither Jarvis nor Marchand could come up with anything particularly flattering. Instead, they delivered answers that had fans laughing out loud.
“They’re alive, they can skate, and they like food,” Marchand says in the video.
“I live in the United States, Jaccob Slavin (Jarvis’ Hurricanes teammate) is a good person, and they’ve got cool hockey gloves,” Jarvis offers.

Fans praise Brad Marchand

Fans are now praising their sense of humor.
“I am so over-the-moon happy that Jarvy gets to be part of this,” one fan wrote.
“Stop making me like Brad Marchand,” another said.
“Adding Seth Jarvis was such a good move,” a third added.
“‘They’re alive’—lol. I’m not typically a Brad Marchand fan, but he’s genuinely funny,” a fourth wrote.
