Chara and Rask became close friends
For 14 seasons, Zdeno Chara and Tuukka Rask were key players on the Boston Bruins, who reached three Stanley Cup finals and won one in 2011. During those years, the duo became good friends, but they also learned quite a bit about each other’s habits.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2019–20 NHL season was canceled on March 12. To keep fans engaged despite no games being played, players conducted interviews online. One of those interviews featured John Tavares, Dylan Larkin, Brady Tkachuk, and Zdeno Chara.
”The smell is awful”
Chara was asked which teammate he would most like to be quarantined with. He answered Charlie Coyle and Kevan Miller, saying he felt he could discuss almost any topic with them.

“I have to say Tuukka Rask, the way he farts…the smell is awful. He likes his chicken wings. After he eats the chicken wings, I sit behind him on the bus… I have to tell you, I’ve got to control myself sometimes,” Chara revealed.
