Marc-Andre Fleury caught on camera hilariously ”enjoying” his retirement

Marc-Andre Fleury is no longer an NHL player, but he still holds a special place in the hearts of hockey fans—thanks in large part to his humor and love for pranks. Now, a video of Fleury’s Halloween decorations is going viral.

With 1,052 regular-season games, Marc-Andre Fleury ranks second for the most games played by a goaltender—only behind Martin Brodeur. He is also second in wins, again trailing Brodeur. Along with his three Stanley Cups, Fleury seems destined for the Hockey Hall of Fame when his time comes.

Well deserved sendoff

Though he recently retired, Fleury remains fresh in the minds of hockey fans. In September, he played in a preseason game for the Pittsburgh Penguins—the team where he spent 13 of his 21 NHL seasons—receiving a well-deserved sendoff into retirement. Now, he is making headlines once again, this time for Halloween.
Last year, Fleury made the news when he dressed up as McLovin from the cult classic film Superbad for the Minnesota Wild’s Halloween party. This year, however, he made fans laugh without wearing a costume.

Marc-Andre Fleury Halloween skeleton

A video posted by Fleury’s wife, Veronique, shows him “enjoying” retirement by assembling a massive skeleton in his garden. Fans can’t stop laughing at Fleury’s apparent confusion, with many jokingly begging him to return to the ice.
“He’s doing the ‘I’m a man who isn’t sure he’s doing this right, but my wife is watching, so I have to look like I do’ thing lol,” one fan writes on X.
“He could have extended that PTO and be playing for the best team in the league instead of dealing with giant skeletons,” another comments.
“Give him a contract!” adds a third.
