Oilers win over the Golden Knights

The Oilers came out on top, winning 4-3 in overtime thanks to Evan Bouchard’s 20th goal of the season. Edmonton now sits in second place in the Pacific, five points behind the Anaheim Ducks and two points ahead of the Golden Knights.
“We’re looking more like we’re playing a playoff game—like things matter, attention to detail matters. We’re simplifying our game. It’s nice to see. The games are so important right now that everyone seems dialed in,” Edmonton head coach Kris Knoblauch told NHL.com after the game.
But what really had fans talking after the game was Darnell Nurse. While he didn’t record any points, the Oilers defenseman got under the Knights’ skin with a moment that quickly went viral.

Darnell Nurse chirp

At the end of the first period, a scrum broke out that saw Jeremy Lauzon and Brett Howden of Vegas receive two-minute penalties, matched by Jason Dickinson and Darnell Nurse. After the dust settled, Nurse skated away, blowing kisses toward the Knights players—a move fans couldn’t get enough of online.
Social media erupted with reactions to Nurse’s antics.
“He is a huge reason they don’t have a Cup,” one fan wrote on X.
“Darnell Nurse blowing kisses to his Stanley Cup,” another added.
“Bro almost has as many own goals as regular goals,” a third joked.
