The Winnipeg Jets burn Jordan Binnington with mocking tweet after win against St. Louis Blues

Jordan Binnington is not the most popular player in the league. He’s a fan favorite in St. Louis, but fans of other teams love when he doesn’t play his best hockey.

Binnington is known for playing with a hot temper, and it’s not unusual for him to be at the center of attention in any way possible.

Just this season, Binnington has thrown hits, made cold statements on opponents and rivalry fans, and this weekend, he showed why fans can’t stop talking about him. As the Blues trailed by three goals against the Colorado Avalanche, Binnington tried starting a fight.

He first tried to go after Avs’ Logan O’Connor, but when a teammate intervened, he went after Avs enforcer Kurtis MacDermid. Colorado goalie Alexander Georgiev even skated to center ice, and fans thought we would see a rare goalie fight.

But everything cooled down, and Binnington said post-game he was just trying to bring some energy into his team. But it showed everyone why he’s one of the league’s most polarizing players.

Teams and opponents just love to mock Binnington every chance they get, and Monday showed a great example of that. Binnington made a fantastic glove save in the matchup against the Winnipeg Jets, but it wasn’t enough as the Blues lost the game, 4-2.

After the final whistle, the Jets posted a Tweet with the final score and wrote: ”Did we look nervous?”

It’s obviously a shot at Binnington, who was asked if he was nervous in an interview after his first NHL game. He responded, ”Do I look nervous?”

Since then, the phrase has been a way to mock Binnington, and the Jets couldn’t resist the opportunity.
