The Washington Capitals are aiming to add to their already powerful offense, as new reports are indicating that Swedish prospect Axel Jonsson Fjallby may sign with the club next season.
Jonsson Fjallby is a 5th round selection from Washington and is currently playing for Djurgården in the SHL. He has also represented Sweden at the WJC and on the international level.
Reports are coming from Swedish publisher HockeyNews.se, where the young forward was asked about this seasons playoff and the potential to play with the likes of Nick Backstrom and Alex Ovechkin.
But before he makes his jump to the largest professional stage, Jonsson Fjallby isn’t looking too far ahead into the future. “I just try to think about the playoffs and I think it’s best to not start thinking about the future. Just take it game by game,” he said in an interview with HockeyNews.se
