Auston Matthews’ text to Matthew Tkachuk
Stories about the strong bond the team formed during the tournament continue to surface. On the Wingmen podcast, hosted by brothers Matthew and Brady Tkachuk, Matthew shared another great story. He revealed that Auston Matthews used to send him a text the night before every game.
“10 PM the night before games, I’d get a text from the captain, Auston Matthews,” Matthew Tkachuk said on the podcast. “He would send a video of Dylan Larkin every night before the games, wearing the outfit we were going to wear for the game the next day.”
