Tyler Seguin’s funny reaction to Matt Duchene in interview

The Dallas Stars pulled off a dramatic comeback in last night’s Game 1 of the Western Conference Final. After trailing 3–1 at the end of two periods, the Stars responded with five unanswered goals to secure the win. In a postgame interview, veteran goalscorer Matt Duchene caught his teammate off guard with a hilarious remark about his goal.

Game 1 between the Dallas Stars and the Edmonton Oilers initially looked like an easy ride for the Oilers, who entered the third period with a 3–1 lead. But the Stars showed real heart and pushed back, scoring five straight goals in the third period to take a 1–0 lead in the series.

Matt Duchene back to scoring

As usual, the Stars’ Finnish players had a huge impact on their comeback — but so did Matt Duchene. The 34-year-old veteran hadn’t scored in the playoffs since last year, but last night he found the net on his own rebound. Duchene’s first shot bounced off Roope Hintz’s hindquarters and came right back to him, allowing Duchene to score the go-ahead 4–3 goal with 15 minutes remaining in the game.

Tyler Seguin hilarious reaction

During the postgame press conference, reporters naturally asked Duchene how it felt to score in the playoffs. But his response caught his teammate on the podium, Tyler Seguin, completely off guard.
“Fortunately, that one bounced for me tonight. Hopefully more of that to come — and less of hitting my own teammate in the ass,” Duchene told reporters.
Tyler Seguin reacted in the most hilarious way to his teammate’s unexpected answer. You can watch the reaction in the clip below. Game 2 will be played on Friday in Dallas.
