Matthew Tkachuk and Brady Tkachuk have made more headlines than usual over the past week thanks to the launch of their new podcast. But now, the brothers are being mocked for some of their takes.
Both Brady and Matthew are major figures on their respective teams and in the league overall, with Brady serving as captain of the Ottawa Senators and Matthew as an alternate captain for the back-to-back Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers.

Matthew and Brady Tkachuk podcast
The Tkachuk brothers launched their new podcast, Wingmen with Matthew and Brady Tkachuk, last week, and it’s already making waves throughout the hockey world—though perhaps not in the way they were hoping.
Mocked on social media
On social media, the brothers are now being mocked for their comments about former Detroit Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk. On the show, they discussed how great they thought he was.
“Pavel Datsyuk, he was nasty. His sick highlight goals and how strong he was on his stick and skates were fun to watch,” they said on the podcast.
”Two knuckleheads”
Fans, however, are poking fun at the brothers for what they see as an extremely obvious and unoriginal take.
“Wow, where else am I gonna find takes like this? The guys are revolutionaries,” one fan wrote on X.
“These two knuckleheads should call their show Dumb & Dumber. F*cking neanderthals,” another commented.
“This is a prime example of why most people shouldn’t be allowed to have a podcast,” a third added.
“Next episode: Wayne Gretzky might actually be the greatest NHL player ever,” a fourth fan wrote sarcastically.
