Sidney Crosby is truly one of a kind — something he proved after a Pittsburgh Penguins photoshoot on Tuesday. Instead of simply leaving the ice, he stayed behind to help carry all the chairs off.
Crosby recently became the first player in NHL history to record 21 seasons averaging over a point per game. Second on that list is Wayne Gretzky, with 18 seasons. Crosby’s trophy cabinet is filled to the brim with silverware, including three Stanley Cups, two Olympic gold medals, and numerous individual awards.

Sidney Crosby’s kind gesture
Together with Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang, Crosby has formed the core of a Penguins team that is now on its way to the Stanley Cup playoffs — something few expected before the season began.
But beyond being one of the greatest players of all time, Crosby has also proven himself to be a genuinely good person. He always praises his teammates and never shows a big ego. And on Tuesday, he did it again. After the Penguins had their team photo taken, the rest of the team left the ice — except Crosby, who stayed behind to help carry away the chairs.
Fans love it
Online, fans are now praising Crosby for his heartwarming gesture, which further shows what a true gentleman he is.
“He is a case study in excellence. And humility,” one fan wrote on X.
“Sid being Sid, the most modest and least entitled great athlete of our time,” another wrote.
“In modern-day pro sports, there will likely never be another character like Sidney Crosby,” a third added.
Next up, the Penguins will play the New Jersey Devils.
