Nick Lidstrom picks the five best players he ever played with and creates the most amazing dream team

Nicklas Lidstrom is a true legend of the game. He’s widely acknowledged as one of the best players of all time, especially when talking about defensemen.

During his years as an active player in Detroit, he was known as ”The Perfect Human” for how he performed on the ice and how he behaved in the locker room.

Lidstrom won seven Norris and four Stanley Cup titles and was a key figure for many years in Detroit. During his years in Red Wings, he played with some of the best players in the modern era.

Red Wings gathered several legends in the same locker room, and it turned the team into a winning machine.

When Swedish outlet Sportbibeln asked Nicklas Lidstrom to pick the five best players he ever played with, he needed some time to think.

”It’s hard. I played with so many great players. But if I’ll start with goalie, I have to pick Dominik Hasek. He’s the one that stands out for me, and it was fun playing with him,” he said.

In the first defenseman slot, Lidstrom picked Chris Chelios, and at center, Steve Yzerman.

Lidstrom had a whole lot of great forwards to pick between.

”We have Brett Hull, Brendan Shanahan, Igor Larionov, Sergei Fedorov, Luc Robitaille, Datsyuk, Zetterberg…”

Lidstrom eventually picked this as his dream team of players he played with.
