Sidney Crosby’s points against every NHL team

Sidney Crosby has 98 assists against the New York Islanders. Not points. Assists.

Then there is Chicago, who have met him 23 times and given up 16 points in total. Nobody is close to Crosby at either end of his own table.

He has played 1,420 regular-season games for Pittsburgh: 654 goals, 1,107 assists, 1,761 points. The table below covers all of them and includes the 31 franchises he has faced through the 2025-26 season. It doesn’t include the 2026-27 season.

The top of that table is not a list of the teams Crosby beat up. It is a list of the teams he saw most. The Islanders, Philadelphia, the Rangers and New Jersey are the only clubs he has faced more than 90 times, and they take the first four rows for that reason and no other.

The Islanders row earns its place anyway. Philadelphia is the club he has actually shot at, with 60 goals, more than against anybody.

Crosby has faced 31 of the league’s 32 franchises and has at least one point against every one of them. The 32nd is Pittsburgh, where he has been since 2005. Hockey-Reference splits Arizona and Utah into two rows although they are one franchise, and they are combined above.

How many points does Sidney Crosby have?

1,761, in 1,420 regular-season games through 2025-26: 654 goals and 1,107 assists, all of them for Pittsburgh across 21 seasons.

Two thirds of that is assists, and the table says it is not the work of one linemate or one good decade. Crosby has 40 or more assists against 14 different franchises. Almost half the league has watched him hand out a season’s worth.

How many goals does Sidney Crosby have?

654 through 2025-26, at a rate of 0.46 per game.

Sixty of them belong to Philadelphia. The Islanders are next on 44, New Jersey on 42, the Rangers on 40, and by now the pattern is familiar: the goal list and the games list are almost the same list.

The rates spread wider than the totals do. Philadelphia has given up 0.65 goals a game to him, the highest figure against any club he has met 25 times or more. Edmonton has given up 0.26, the lowest, which is seven goals in 27 games. Same player, two and a half times the difference.

What is Sidney Crosby’s points per game?

1.24 across his career through 2025-26.

The ends are a long way apart: 1.53 against the Islanders, 0.70 against Chicago. Everything between them is boringly consistent. Twenty-four of the 31 franchises sit between 1.00 and 1.40, which is another way of saying most of the league has been equally unable to do much about him.

Which team has Sidney Crosby struggled against most?

Chicago, and it is not close. Crosby has 16 points in 23 games against the Blackhawks, a rate of 0.70 per game against a career rate of 1.24. No other franchise has held him below 0.92, and the next worst mark among teams he has faced at least 20 times is a full three tenths of a point higher.

Eight goals and eight assists. Both are his lowest totals against any club he has met 20 times or more, and they are the same number, which is its own small joke. Vegas is lower on raw points with 12, but from 13 games rather than 23.

There is nothing in the schedule to explain it. Chicago and Pittsburgh sit in opposite conferences and meet twice a year, so those 23 games have piled up over two decades rather than arriving in one miserable winter. Which also means 23 games is a thin thing to build a theory on.

These figures are regular season only and do not include the playoffs, where Crosby has played 186 games. They run through the end of 2025-26 and do not include the 2026-27 season. The Penguins’ channels and streams are in our guide to how to watch the Pittsburgh Penguins.
