Connor Bedard and Macklin Celebrini are two of the hottest young stars in the league, and they’re showing great development in every aspect of the game — even chirping.
Bedard is widely considered the future of hockey, and the Chicago Blackhawks have very high hopes for their 2023 first-overall draft pick. So far, he has not disappointed, producing nearly a point per game through his first two and a half NHL seasons.

One goal and one assist
Macklin Celebrini, drafted first overall in 2024, has given San Jose Sharks fans plenty of optimism for the future. After a season and a half in the league, he is scoring at slightly above a point-per-game pace. On Monday, the two superstars clashed in Chicago, where Bedard came out on top with a 6–3 win and an assist. Celebrini recorded one goal and one assist.

But fans are especially entertained by the chirping between Bedard and Celebrini. Bedard was mic’d up during last night’s game, and one exchange between the two has gone viral among hockey fans. The video shows Bedard jokingly challenging Celebrini to a fight.
Bedard: “Where are you going?”
Celebrini: “Let’s go.”
Bedard: “You want one?”
Celebrini: “Center ice.”
Fans are now cracking up at the hilarious interaction.
“Bedsy is such a beauty. Mack is too,” one fan wrote on X.
“This would’ve been the funniest fight ever,” another commented.
“I would pay to see that one,” a third added.
