Jay Beagle sends Golden Knights player head-first into bench with nasty spin move

The Vancouver Canucks are back in the series against the Vegas Golden Knights after winning 5-2 last night, equalizing the series 1-1.

Tyler Toffoli put up three points in the win, Bo Horvat scored twice and goalie Jacob Markstrom made 38 saves.

The victory was the Canucks’ first in regular time against the Vegas Golden Knights, with the two earlier wins being secured in overtime and in the shootout.

“I felt we were confident coming into the game, and right from the first shift, we started off well, and then continued on and our team got a big win,” Toffoli said after the game.

Trailing the game by four with just minutes to go, the Golden Knights had enough. Alex Tuch went after Jake Virtanen, who took several punches while laying on the ice. And moments before, Golden Knights defenseman Zach Whitecloud wanted to get in on the action.

Jay Beagle headed into the Canucks’ offensive zone, with Whitecloud waiting, trying to absolutely smash the former Capital.

But Beagle noticed what was coming and performed a nasty spin move, sending Whitecloud straight into the Vegas bench, head-first.

Talk about a way to end the game!
