Eric Lindros pays heartfelt tribute to Bernie Parent

On September 21st, Bernie Parent passed away. The two-time Stanley Cup champion is mourned by hockey fans all over the world, but in Philadelphia, he is a true icon. Now, Eric Lindros’ farewell to Parent has hockey fans in tears.

Bernie Parent is considered one of the best goaltenders ever. He played 13 seasons in the NHL with the Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs, and most importantly, the Philadelphia Flyers.

Eric Lindros shares beautiful words

When the Flyers won back-to-back Stanley Cups in 1974 and 1975, Parent won both the Vezina Trophy and the Conn Smythe Trophy in each season. Parent is one of the most beloved sports figures in Philadelphia. Following his passing, love and support have been pouring in for the Parent family. Now, Flyers legend Eric Lindros has shared his thoughts on Parent’s passing:
“Bernie Parent wasn’t just a legend for the Flyers. He was the heart and soul of what it means to be part of the Flyers family. Rest easy, my friend. Your legacy will forever live on in Flyers history and in the hearts of everyone who had the honor of calling you a friend,” Eric Lindros wrote on X.
