Craig Berube rips into his own players in practice

The Toronto Maple Leafs are really struggling at the moment. On Monday, head coach Craig Berube tried to motivate his players with an intense pep talk, which was caught on camera.

The Maple Leafs have now lost five games in a row for the first time since April 2021. Two of these losses were against their long-standing rivals, the Boston Bruins. Now, both fans and insiders are saying that something must be done to turn the Leafs’ losing streak around.

Something needs to happen

Some argue that trading Mitch Marner to the Vegas Golden Knights during the off-season was a mistake, particularly given his career-high 102 points last season. While William Nylander and John Tavares have performed well offensively, the rest of the Maple Leafs are really struggling.

Craig Berube ripped into players

Footage from the Leafs’ Monday training session shows head coach Craig Berube trying to motivate his star players with some harsh words. While the exact words remain undisclosed, insider David Pagnotta claims that Berube said the following:
“Just f*cking do it! And do it hard, and do it right,” to his underperforming team.
Next, the Leafs will play the St. Louis Blues, who currently are performing even worse, at home.
