Connor McDavid’s fifth Ted Lindsay Award

This year, Connor McDavid tied Gretzky for the most Ted Lindsay Trophies. McDavid has won the award in 2017, 2018, 2021, 2023, and 2026. The season ended in disappointment for the Edmonton Oilers. They were eliminated in the first round by the Anaheim Ducks. However, McDavid once again proved he is still among the best players in the world. He lead the league in points with 138 and assists with 90. McDavid was surprised with the award on the golf course. He was playing with four of his childhood friends, his parents, his brother, and his wife Lauren.

Lauren’s heartfelt words

“This award, coming from the guys that you play against every single night and battle against every single night. And to have them recognize me for an award like this means so much. It’s such a special way to do it with family here. Friends, hometown buddies that I don’t get to spend too much time with. It definitely means a lot,” McDavid told NHL.com afterward.
His loved ones were clearly very proud. And Lauren took to Instagram, where she shared several posts about Connor McDavid’s win and wrote, “So proud.”
Connor and Lauren have been a couple since 2015 and married since 2024.
