Canes player in complete meltdown after devastating Game 3 loss, almost injures teammate in rage

The Carolina Hurricanes just can’t catch a break at the moment. They haven’t got their offense going in the Eastern Conference Final, and Panthers’ goalie Sergei Bobrovsky seems totally unbeatable at the moment.

Bobrovsky has played the hockey of his life during this year’s playoffs, and with a 3-0 series lead on the line, he stepped up once again in Game 3.

The Carolina Hurricanes once again outshot the Panthers, this time with a whopping 32-17. The Florida Panthers managed to steal Game 3, and they can thank Bobrovsky for it.

The goalie put on another masterclass and shut out the Hurricanes. The Panthers are now just one win away from the Stanley Cup Final, and the Hurricanes are getting frustrated.

It would be tough for any team to lose two straight playoff games in overtime at home, especially as the Canes haven’t played badly. They’ve just not found a way to beat Bobrovsky, and after losing Game 3, emotions ran high.

As the Canes headed for the locker room after the final horn blew, cameras caught Jesperi Kotkaniemi losing his mind and smashing his stick against the floor.

Just behind him was Jack Drury, and he was close to getting injured by Kotkaniemi’s rage, as the stick he was about to break barely scraped Drury’s face.

Drury even took his hands in front of his face to protect himself, but he could walk away without getting hurt in any way. We understand that Kotkaniemi and his teammates are frustrated, and they now need a playoff miracle to advance to the Stanley Cup Final.
