Canes’ fan tears Nick Cousins to pieces with hilarious chirp caught on hot mic

The Florida Panthers-Carolina Hurricanes playoffs series has been awesome, with two great teams battling in three really tight games so far.

Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final gave us the 6th longest game in NHL history, as Matthew Tkachuk decided the game in the fourth overtime.

Game 2 was just as even, as it once again went to overtime, and once again, Matthew Tkachuk stepped up for the Panthers, deciding the game and giving the Panthers a 2-0 series lead.

The battle and quality hockey the teams have produced so far has been incredible, and fans absolutely love the sheer entertainment that’s on display. And if you thought that Game 3 would be a comfortable win for any team, you were wrong.

Just like the first two games of the Conference Final, there was tough to separate the two teams, and things have heated up. And it’s not just the players that feel the tension.

Early in the first period, the hot mic caught a fan delivering a hilarious chirp against the Panthers’ Nick Cousins. Everyone loves a great playoff beard, and this particular fan didn’t seem too impressed with what Nick Cousins have grown out during this year’s run.

The fan could be heard screaming, ”Hey Cos, you call that a playoff beard!?”

However, Nick Cousins got the last laugh as his Florida Panthers won Game 3 1-0, taking a 3-0 series lead. It sure looks like the Panthers are heading for the Stanley Cup Finals, and that also means that Cousins will be able to keep working on his playoff beard…
