The games between the Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers just keep on being tough and testy, and it’s not a wild guess that the teams are genuinely starting to dislike each other.
Tempers have flared from Game 1, and Sunday’s Game 4 continued like the previous one, with many controversial incidents and emotions running high. As the Bruins were heading for their third win of the series, all hell broke loose, and we nearly saw a big line brawl.
During the brawl, even goalie Linus Ullmark joined in the fun, and he was absolutely furious with Panthers star Matthew Tkachuk. Ullmark even dropped the glove and blocker to start a fight with Tkachuk, but (unfortunately) the referees intervened.
There wasn’t any doubt in Ullmark’s mind. He really wanted to fight Tkachuk, and it sure looked like Tkachuk wanted to go as well. But in hindsight, it perhaps was a good thing for the Bruins that the refs decided to step in.

Ullmark has been one of the best goalies in the league this year, and an injury on him would be devastating in the B’s hunt for the Cup.
Ullmark’s teammates in Boston loved that he tried to fight Tkachuk, who’s always trying to get under the skin of his opponents. Brad Marchand believes Ullmark would have a chance at beating him.
“He’s got the size and reach. Maybe one day we’ll get to see,” he said, per Ty Anderson.
Brad Marchand also said the most hilarious thing about the incident:
“There’s gotta be something in the goalies water bottles this year.”
Marchand is probably referring to the fact that goalies this season have been more aggressive than in previous years. Jordan Binnington has gone berserk more than one time, and at the end of the regular season, Marc-André Fleury left his goal to fight Binnington.
