Last night, the Colorado Avalanche snapped the Anaheim Ducks’ seven-game winning streak with a 4–1 victory. But most of the postgame buzz wasn’t about the score — it was about one ecstatic fan who sent the crowd into a frenzy.
The Avalanche and Ducks faced off in an early Western Conference showdown between two of the NHL’s hottest teams. Anaheim has been one of the league’s biggest surprises this season, blending the resurgence of veterans like Chris Kreider with breakout performances from young stars such as Leo Carlsson.

Leo Carlsson 100 points
Heading into the game, the Ducks had won seven straight, but they couldn’t keep up with a dominant Avalanche side. Colorado captain Gabriel Landeskog scored his first goal since March 5, 2022, marking an emotional return. Anaheim’s Leo Carlsson, however, extended his point streak to 11 games with a goal — his 100th NHL point. At just 20 years and 320 days old, Carlsson became the youngest player in Ducks history to reach that milestone, breaking Paul Kariya’s previous record of 21 years and 109 days.
Fan chugging beer
Still, the highlight of the night came from the stands at Ball Arena. After a Ducks player cleared the puck into the crowd, one lucky fan caught it and received a few congratulatory taps from nearby spectators. Realizing he was on camera, the fan stood up — and chugged his beer, sending the arena into absolute chaos.
”Next-level fandom”
Fans online can’t get enough of it.
“Dude turned a hockey game into Oktoberfest! Give that man a contract!” one user wrote.
“Imagine catching a puck going 100 mph and deciding the next move is shotgunning a beer. Man’s priorities are straight,” another joked.
“This guy caught the puck and chugged his beer — the ultimate catch and celebration. Next-level fandom,” a third added.
