Every hockey fan knows that you celebrate in a big way after winning the Stanley Cup. After the Florida Panthers secured their second consecutive Cup, the party started in the locker room—and it seems to have kept going. Now, a video going viral shows Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov bringing the Cup back onto the ice at 1:35 a.m.
Winning a Stanley Cup means a good party—as it should. After nine months of hockey, travel, and playing through injuries, a Cup celebration marks the end of a very successful year. We all remember the legendary $156,000 bar tab the Boston Bruins ran up in 2011 after beating the Vancouver Canucks in seven games, and there are several stories about how parties have gotten out of hand, even damaging the actual Cup.
Now, it’s the Florida Panthers’ turn to let their hair down around the world’s oldest trophy. For the second year in a row, they defeated the Edmonton Oilers in the final. This time, they didn’t let Game 6 slip away but secured their second consecutive Cup win with a 5–1 victory, which saw Sam Reinhart score four goals.

How well the Cup will hold up during this year’s celebrations remains to be seen, but a video shows Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov taking the Cup back onto the ice dressed in his underwear.
Journalist Alejandro Solana posted the video on X (formerly Twitter), writing: “It’s 1:35 a.m. and Barkov has brought the Stanley Cup back out onto the ice and is celebrating with employees in the arena.”
A very heartwarming gesture from the captain, showing that everyone in the organization has a part of winning a Stanley Cup.
