Game three between the Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers was extremely intense, with players hitting everything in sight—and, of course, trying to sneak in the occasional cheap shot when possible. Now, a specific incident between AJ Greer and Jake Walman is going viral.
The Florida Panthers won 6–1, but it won’t be the scoreline that people remember. Last night’s game saw 140 penalty minutes—the most in a Stanley Cup Final game since 1986, when the Montreal Canadiens faced the Calgary Flames.
There were several incidents during the game, including a major brawl in the third period that sent six players to the penalty box. But one particular moment between AJ Greer and Jake Walman has fans laughing.
AJ Greer and Jake Walman incident
On the ice, the two got tangled up, with AJ Greer stealing Walman’s glove and tossing it into the Panthers’ bench. Walman’s response? He sprayed water across the benches—soaking the area, including TV reporters caught in the splash.
“That’s smart. Cats hate when you spray water at them,” one person wrote on Reddit.
“I love the playoffs so freaking much,” another commented.
“The shithousery in this series has been top tier,” a third added.
The Panthers now lead the series 2–1, with Game Four set to be played in Sunrise on Thursday.
