Adin Hill loses it – fans are all saying the same thing about it

Adin Hill wasn’t happy with Evander Kane after Adam Henrique’s 2-0 goal in Game 4. The goalie immediately went after his opponent in fury—and so did his teammates. But on social media, very few had sympathy for Hill’s anger. In fact, almost everyone said the same thing about it.

The Edmonton Oilers bounced back from their devastating last-second loss to the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 3 on Monday. The Oilers had tied that game 3-3 with just over three minutes left, but Stuart Skinner couldn’t stop Reilly Smith’s last-second attempt—which deflected off Leon Draisaitl’s stick and into the net for the win. It was a crucial goal for the Golden Knights, cutting Edmonton’s series lead to 2-1. But in Game 4, the Oilers responded with an impressive display, shutting out Vegas 3-0.

In Game 3, it was Stuart Skinner who found himself at the center of criticism. In Game 4, it was Vegas goalie Adin Hill. The Oilers took a 1-0 lead just 1:27 into the game, and from there, chaos erupted around Hill. The Oilers were in his face at every opportunity, and Hill responded by taking several swipes at players skating near his crease. At one point, he even decked Oilers winger Zach Hyman to the ice.

Later, when the Oilers scored their second goal—again from Adam Henrique—Evander Kane was shoved into Hill by a Vegas defenseman. Hill didn’t care about the contact’s cause; he immediately skated after Kane and charged at him. Several Vegas players joined the melee, but when the dust settled, it was Kane who was sent to the penalty box for charging.

On social media, many slammed the officials for the call.
“You know it’s bad when I’m defending Edmonton Oiler Evander Kane,” one fan wrote.
“The ‘game management’ from the refs this postseason is getting outrageous. Being shoved into the goalie is now charging?” another said.
“That’s the fourth time in this series (so far) that Edmonton has gotten a penalty for being shoved into Hill,” a third added.
“Wild that McNabb first cross-checks Kane into Hill, then immediately gets mad at Kane for hitting Hill and goes after him,” said a fourth.
