Anaheim Ducks team records: Getzlaf has the points, Selanne has the goals

Anaheim’s two biggest records belong to two different players, and the split says everything about how the club has worked.

Ryan Getzlaf has the points record with 1,019. Teemu Selanne has the goals record with 457. Getzlaf finished 31 points ahead of Selanne and needed 191 more games to do it. One of them scored; the other stayed.

The franchise joined the NHL in 1993 and spent its first thirteen seasons as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. Everything below counts those years, which is why Selanne and Paul Kariya are all over the lists.

Who has the most points in Ducks history?

Ryan Getzlaf, with 1,019 across seventeen seasons.

#PlayerPoints
1Ryan Getzlaf1,019
2Teemu Selanne988
3Corey Perry776

Getzlaf’s total is 282 goals and 737 assists, and that assist figure is a club record nobody else is close to. Selanne’s 988 came from 457 goals and 531 assists, which is almost the exact inverse.

Getzlaf also holds the games record with 1,157 and the club season record with 17. Corey Perry has the penalty minutes record with 1,110.

Who has scored the most goals for the Ducks?

Teemu Selanne, with 457; the gap is enormous: Perry is second with 372, and Kariya is third with 300.

Selanne did it in two separate spells, arriving in 1995-96, leaving, and coming back to finish in 2013-14. He also holds the club’s career power-play goal record with 182, 75 more than Kariya. His rookie season is a story on its own, though that one belongs to Winnipeg.

The late nineties are the whole top of this table. Selanne’s 52 goals, his 51 the year before, and Kariya’s 50 in 1995-96 are the three best goal seasons in club history, and Kariya’s 108 points in 1995-96 sit a single point behind Selanne’s record.

Nobody has come close since. The best goal season since is Cutter Gauthier’s 41 in 2025-26, which ranks tenth in club history.

And the rookie record survived 2025-26 by one point. Beckett Sennecke finished with 60.

The goal record is the odd one here, and it is new. The 2025-26 team scored 265, more than the Cup winners in 2006-07 and the 116-point team in 2013-14. It also conceded 288 and finished third in the Pacific. Every other major team record belongs to 2013-14 or 2006-07.

The fewest-goals-against line needs two rows rather than one. The 115 of 2012-13 is the lowest total, but that was a 48-game season. Over a full schedule, the mark is 184, from the year after the Cup.

Who holds the Ducks goaltending records?

Jean-Sebastien Giguere holds the biggest one by two games.

John Gibson reached 204 career wins and was traded to Detroit in June 2025, two short of the record. He had already taken the games record off Giguere, and he leaves with the club’s longest goaltending tenure and not the win total that normally comes with it.

Giguere’s 36 wins in 2006-07 came in the Cup season. Lukas Dostal’s 30 in 2025-26 is the best since, and ties for seventh in club history.

The save percentage record depends on where the qualifying line is drawn, so the honest version is two names: Martin Gerber at .929 over 22 games in 2002-03 on the wider list, and Ryan Miller at .928 over 28 games in 2017-18 on the stricter one.

What is the best single game by a Duck?

Five points, and in 33 seasons no Duck has ever recorded six.

It has been done seventeen times, first by Selanne on 10 October 1996 and last by Mikael Granlund on 23 October 2025, when Anaheim won 7-5 in Boston. Selanne has five of the seventeen and Kariya four.

The one-game goal record is three, shared by a long list, and no Duck has ever scored four. For a franchise more than thirty years old, with Selanne and Kariya in it, that is the strangest entry in the book.

Dmitri Mironov’s five assists against Washington in December 1997 are the mark for a defenseman.

How many Stanley Cups have the Ducks won?

One, in 2007, and they were the first team from California to win it. They beat Ottawa in five games and sealed it at home on 6 June 2007.

They had been there once before, in 2003, losing game seven of the Final as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. The 2007 team had Chris Pronger, whose arrival Selanne had an opinion about, and Scott Niedermayer, who set the club’s defenseman points record the same season. Selanne and Getzlaf spent that spring getting into trouble as well as winning.

Which records could fall next?

Not a single career record, and that is the plain answer. Getzlaf’s 1,019 points and Selanne’s 457 goals are a decade out of reach of anyone in the squad.

The season records are a different matter, and two of them are genuinely close.

LaCombe’s 58 points from defense in 2025-26 is already the sixth-best in club history, and Niedermayer’s 69 is eleven away. Gauthier’s 41 goals are eleven short of Selanne. Leo Carlsson’s start to his career has been the most talked-about, but 109 points is a long way from 67.

Among the career lists, Troy Terry is the furthest along of the current group: 342 points, 207 assists and 135 goals through 2025-26, which puts him seventh in club history in assists and nowhere near the top in anything else. Lukas Dostal finished on 72 wins against Giguere’s 206.

Everything else is settled, which is worth knowing before watching the Ducks with a record book in hand.

Where does this data come from?

Career figures come from Hockey-Reference’s career leaders for the franchise.

Updated once a year, in June, after the season is complete.
