See the unorthodox Finnish training methods that shock the world

The sport of hockey is a global phenomenon. That means that talent is produced from all over the world. And with talent coming from all walks of life, you’re going to see some methods of training you may not be accustomed to.

If the Lahti Pelicans of the Finnish professional league are any indication, it’s that in Finland they play hard and train harder.

It may be unorthodox to skate full speed into a Zamboni or face 100 shots per minute from a firing cannon, but you have to put in the work if you want to win!

These videos may be fake and a way to promote the team, but if you suspend your disbelief for a few minutes, you can appreciate the training methods from the Finnish club.

Finland recently won gold at the World Juniors in 2016, while also winning Bronze at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

Patrik Laine is one of the top players in the NHL currently, and Finland had 16 players selected in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.

So, maybe there is a method to their madness?
