Ulf Samuelsson
Ulf Samuelsson was a Swedish defenceman who played 1,080 NHL games for Hartford, Pittsburgh, the New York Rangers, Detroit and Philadelphia. Samuelsson won the Stanley Cup with the Penguins in 1991 and 1992 and took 2,453 penalty minutes, playing a heavy, agitating game that made Samuelsson one of the most disliked opponents of his era. Samuelsson later coached, most recently as an assistant with the Florida Panthers until 2022, and is still most often recalled for the knee-on-knee hit on Cam Neely in the 1991 playoffs.
