Charlie McAvoy

Charlie McAvoy is an American defenceman for the Boston Bruins and an alternate captain, who won Olympic gold with the United States in 2026. McAvoy has played more than 570 NHL games, all for Boston, since being drafted 14th overall in 2016. Boston has left the captaincy vacant since Brad Marchand’s departure, with McAvoy and David Pastrňák the candidates.
