Sidney Crosby’s incredibly heartwarming gesture to fans he met on vacation says everything about why everyone in Pittsburgh loves him

There’s a reason Sidney Crosby is a forever legend in Pittsburgh.

It’s not just because he’s one of the greatest players of all time and a captain who has led the Penguins to three Stanley Cup championships.

He’s also a great person who does so many great things for the community. And this story speaks volumes about how much Sid the Kid actually cares about his fans and the people of Pittsburgh.

This story went viral last year, as Crosby had been on vacation in the Bahamas.

The person who shared the story was also on vacation in the Bahamas, and during a visit to a restaurant, they ended up a few tables away from a guy they recognized straight away.

Being Penguins season ticket holders, they saw the one and only Sidney Crosby having lunch with his girlfriend and another couple.

Of course, the season ticket holders were thrilled, but they didn’t want to disturb Crosby during lunch. The family’s 10-year-old daughter ignored her parents’ instructions and went over to Crosby’s table to ask for a picture.

When he heard the family was huge fans and season ticket holders, he went over to their table and talked some hockey before excusing himself and returning to his table.

But when the family asked for the check, they were in for yet another astonishing surprise.

As it turned out, Crosby had already taken care of it and paid for the family’s lunch. He really went the extra way to ensure the season ticket holder would get a memorable lunch, and things like this make Crosby impossible to hate.

He deserves all the praise for this heartwarming gesture, and although Crosby himself hasn’t confirmed the story, we have no reason to doubt if it’s true or not. Pittsburgh Hockey Now even spoke to the family about the details before publishing the story. Sid the Kid, a true legend!
