Seth Jarvis scored the overtime winner against the Vegas Golden Knights, helping even the Stanley Cup Final to 1-1. Jarvis had a number of friends in the crowd cheering him on. When asked about them after the game, Jarvis gave the perfect answer.
“That guy should put a shirt on,” he told the reporter.
After losing Game 1 at home, Carolina Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind’Amour called out his top line of Sebastian Aho, Andrei Svechnikov, and Seth Jarvis.

Seth Jarvis overtime winner
“They had one good shift in the third there. Everyone has to play well if you’re going to win at this time of year, simple as that. Your best guys gotta get on the scoresheet. That’s gonna have to happen if we want to get to where we want to be,” Brind’Amour told reporters following Game 1.
And in Game 2, they responded. 3:56 into overtime, Seth Jarvis scored a one-timer past Carter Hart on an assist from Shayne Gostisbehere and Sebastian Aho.
“Our group, this playoffs especially, has just been holding the rope, like we’ve been talking about. Just staying with it, just staying with it, and just being patient with our game and trusting our game. I think we’ve done a great job of that,” captain Jordan Staal told reporters after the game.
Hilarious response
Seth Jarvis has a number of friends who have become well known among hockey fans. Wherever Jarvis goes, they are there to show their support. Thursday’s game was no exception. When Jarvis scored the overtime winner, one of his friends got so excited that he took his shirt off.
In a postgame interview, Jarvis praised his friends for being there. Then he was shown footage of his shirtless friend. Jarvis then roasted him in the most hilarious way.
“That guy should put a shirt on,” Jarvis said.
Game 3 will be played on Saturday in Vegas.
