Sergei Bobrovsky has perfect response to Oilers players

The Stanley Cup Final really heated up during Game Three, with a lot of penalties and cheap shots on the ice. As a player, it’s your job to get under your opponent’s skin in order to gain an advantage. But when Panthers goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky was asked how he felt about the Oilers players getting more physical, he had the perfect four-word answer.

The Florida Panthers absolutely crushed the Edmonton Oilers last night. After two very even and hard-fought games—both of which went to overtime in Edmonton—Game Three was all about the Panthers. On home ice, they completely ran over the Oilers and won 6–1.

Physical game

It was a very physical—and sometimes nasty—game. Both teams tried to assert dominance with heavy hitting and, of course, the occasional cheap shot wherever it fit. That even included targeting the goaltenders, especially Oilers players going after Panthers goalie Sergei Bobrovsky.

Sergei Bobrovky’s perfect response

Bobrovsky is having one of the best playoff runs of his career, with a GAA of 2.15 through 20 games so far. After the game, he was asked how he felt about the Oilers being more physical than usual. He delivered the perfect four-word response:
“I appreciate the respect,” Bobrovsky told reporters.
Game Four will be played Thursday in Florida.
