Brent Burns Stanley Cup hunt

He came close in 2016, but his San Jose Sharks fell short against the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Stanley Cup Final. Now, he once again has a shot at the Cup with the Colorado Avalanche. Coming off a President’s Trophy–winning season and a 4–1 series win against the Minnesota Wild, many believe the Avalanche will go all the way this year.
Game 1 of the Conference Final will be played on Wednesday. Ahead of the game, superstar Nathan MacKinnon held a press conference, where he was asked by a reporter about Brent Burns’ remarkable longevity. His answer made the entire room laugh.

Nathan MacKinnons hilarious response

“He sleeps a lot. More than anybody—he’s like a big bear. He’ll nap from like 3 PM to 6 PM and go to sleep for another ten hours. It’s crazy. I think that’s a big reason why he’s played so long. And also, he’s got such a great attitude. He’s like—everyone says it—he’s like a little kid. With three kids, himself. He’s a special guy, super positive, just super great to be around. He comes to the rink with a smile on his face, and I think that’s the biggest reason why he’s played so long,” MacKinnon told reporters.
