Dallas Stars lead series

The victory gives the Stars a 2–1 lead in the series. Game 4 will be played in Minnesota on Saturday.
“It’s the time of year where you’ve just got to stick with it. You can’t get frustrated. It’s not even an emotion that helps at this time of year. We’re playing against an elite team, elite penalty killers. The swings are going to go that way. It’s not going to be a smooth ride, but you’ve got to stick with it and stay confident,” Stars coach Glen Gulutzan told reporters after the game.

Jamie Benn hit on Matt Boldy

However, most of the postgame discussion wasn’t about the result—it was about Benn’s hit on Boldy. In the first period, Benn appeared to hit Boldy from behind, with what looked like an elbow to the back of the head. Boldy left the ice but later returned to the game. Still, many fans were outraged by the play.
Benn, known for his physical style, should be suspended, according to some fans.
“How is this not a major? The NHL needs to look at a suspension!” one fan wrote on X.
“This should be reviewed and Benn suspended for Game 4,” another added.
“Gee, if only he had a decade-long history of cheap, dirty hits like this to judge him by,” a third wrote.
