Chase Reid was born on December 30, 2007, in Chesterfield, Michigan, USA. His parents are RJ Reid and Magyn Reid. RJ played hockey in his younger years, and Magyn was a competitive dancer in her youth. Chase has a younger brother, Blake Reid, born in 2012.

Chase Reid: Playing Career

Chase Reid, who shoots right, started out as a forward. However, when he was 13, his father convinced him to switch to defense. He joined the Victory Honda AAA program in 2021 and played there until 2024 at the U14, U15, and U16 levels.
In the 2023–24 season, Reid scored 14 goals and recorded 48 assists for 62 points in 68 games at the U16 AAA level.
In the 2023 OHL Draft, Reid was selected 125th overall in the seventh round by the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. He made his debut for the Greyhounds during the 2024–25 season, recording 7 goals and 33 assists for 40 points in 39 games. In the 2025–26 season, Reid tallied 18 goals and 30 assists for 48 points in 45 games.

International Career

Reid has represented Team USA at the U20 level. Most notably, in December 2025, he was named to Team USA’s roster for the 2026 World Junior Championship.
