Darnell Nurse lost his mind completely and could now be in for a suspension after headbutting his opponent

The opening round series of the Stanley Cup playoffs between the LA Kings and Edmonton Oilers have been a battle, and Game Five was just as hard as the previous.

The LA Kings won the game 5-4 in overtime and took a 3-2 series lead, and now, the Edmonton Oilers might have to play Game 6 without one of their best players. With just seconds to go in the second period, Darnell Nurse argued with Kings’ forward Phil Danault, who stood in front of the net hoping for a rebound or a tip on the puck.

But as the shot came and the goalie saved, Nurse decided to give Danault a headbutt. The officials didn’t call the play, but many now believe that it’s enough for a hearing from the NHL Department of Player Safety and deserving of a suspension.

The NHL usually doesn’t take kindly to headbutts, and judging by previous suspensions, things are looking bad for Nurse.
