Matthew Tkachuk has only skated in two games this season, but he has already stirred the pot. Last night, he was knocked down by Winnipeg Jets captain Adam Lowry — and fans are absolutely loving it.
Since Matthew Tkachuk’s arrival in Florida, he has established himself as a key player for the Panthers, who have reached three straight Stanley Cup Finals and won the last two. Tkachuk has averaged over a point per game in both the regular season and the playoffs. But beyond being an offensive force, he is also an absolute expert at getting under his opponents’ skin.

Matthew Tkachuk comeback
Matthew Tkachuk began the 2025–26 season on the sidelines while recovering from injury, but he is now back with the Panthers and has played two games so far. He has recorded one assist and four penalty minutes. Last night, the Panthers won the first of their three road games, defeating the Winnipeg Jets 2–1 on penalties. Tkachuk picked up an assist on Sam Bennett’s 1–0 goal.
Knocked down by Adam Lowry
As usual, Tkachuk did his best to annoy the opposition, which is a big part of his game. This time, however, he paid the price. After getting into it with Josh Morrissey, he was completely run over by Jets captain Adam Lowry. Fans all around the league loved the hit and praised it on social media.
“Feel-good story of the day,” one fan wrote on X.
“I’ll take ‘Things you love to see for $1,000,’” another added.
“I laughed just as hard the 40th time I watched this as the first!” a third fan wrote.
