Cameras picked up Nathan MacKinnon giving a two-word order to his teammates after sweeping Edmonton

Many believed that the Western Conference final would be a tight affair. But the Colorado Avalanche put on a shift, and last night, they completed the sweep against the Edmonton Oilers.

Game 4 of the series went to overtime, but just 1:19 in OT, Artturi Lehkonen scored to make it 6-5 and a completed four-game sweep. Colorado will face either the New York Rangers or Tampa Bay Lightning in the Stanley Cup final, as the Rangers lead the Eastern Conference Final 2-1. Colorado Avalanche celebrated with ease after the sweep.

They were handed The Clarence S. Campbell Trophy for being the Western Conference Champions, and many players decided not to touch it at all due to superstitious.

Team captain Gabriel Landeskog chose to lift it, but Nathan MacKinnon was clear in what he thought. As the group posed for a team photo with the trophy, Landeskog and MacKinnon had a hand on the trophy, but MacKinnon could be seen saying to the group, ”No smiling!”

The team didn’t want to celebrate too much, as they firmly believed they hadn’t won anything yet, and that’s precisely why MacKinnon implied not to smile while posing with the trophy. Now that’s some winning mentality!
