Sidney Crosby has showcased his skills ever since he made his debut as a teenager. Now older and wiser, Crosby still displays the elite talent from his younger days.
We’ve seen Sidney Crosby deke out goalies on tremendous moves, outsmart defenders with his quick maneuvers and score goals from batting the puck out of the air, but last night’s overtime goal against the Edmonton Oilers may take the cake.
Give Sidney Crosby any room on the ice and it can be dangerous for defenders. Especially in 3-on-3 overtime.
The Pittsburgh Penguins superstar entered the offensive zone and went to work. He took the puck into the corner and with no room to progress the play, he stopped on a dime and turned it around.
From there, Sidney Crosby put the puck through a defender’s legs, battled off a stick check and lifted the puck on his backhand to score the game winner.
The entire play was just nasty and proves once again the sheer talent and poise Crosby is capable of. It’s incredibly hard to stop Crosby and the Edmonton Oilers found out.
