Where is the 2027 Frozen Four?
Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., home of the Washington Capitals. The U.S. Naval Academy and Events DC are the hosts, Monumental Sports & Entertainment announced when the site was awarded in October 2024.

When is the 2027 Frozen Four?
The semifinals are on Thursday, 8 April 2027, and the national championship game is on Saturday, 10 April 2027. The day in between is an off day, as it was in 2026. The four teams won’t be known until regionals end on 28 March.
What time does the Frozen Four start?
Start times for 2027 have not been announced. In 2026, ESPN scheduled the semifinals at 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. ET and the national championship game at 5:30 p.m. ET, with pregame coverage from 5 p.m. This guide will be updated when ESPN publishes the 2027 times.
What channel is the Frozen Four on?
ESPN. The NCAA’s media rights agreement with ESPN covers men’s ice hockey from 2024-25 through 2031-32, the NCAA said when the deal was signed. In 2026, the semifinals aired on ESPN2 and the final on ESPN, with every game streaming on the ESPN app. The agreement covers domestic rights only, so it does not settle what viewers in Canada get.

How much are 2027 Frozen Four tickets?
Prices for 2027 have not been published. NCAA Tickets, the NCAA’s official ticket site, sells all-session tickets covering both semifinals and the final, usually from the fall, and single-session tickets from the winter. All tickets are mobile. NCAA Tickets warns that single-session tickets can sell quickly once the matchups are set.
How do teams reach the 2027 Frozen Four?
Through a 16-team single-elimination tournament. Six conference champions qualify automatically, and the selection committee adds ten at-large teams. The field is revealed on Sunday 21 March 2027. Each of the four No. 1 seeds goes to a different regional, and the four regional winners meet in Washington. A champion has to win four straight games.

Denver. The Pioneers beat Wisconsin 2-1 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on 11 April 2026. It was Denver’s third title in five seasons under coach David Carle and the school’s 11th, more than any other program.
Why is it called the Frozen Four?
The name covers the last four teams. The event was simply called the NCAA men’s ice hockey championship from 1948 until 1999, when the NCAA rebranded the semifinals and final as the Frozen Four.
When is the 2027 Women’s Frozen Four?
The women’s semifinals are on Sunday, 21 March 2027, and the championship game is on Tuesday, 23 March, at AMSOIL Arena in Duluth, Minnesota. The NCAA moved the dates from 19 and 21 March so that all three games could be shown on ESPN’s linear channels. The women’s semifinals fall on the same day as the men’s selection show.
